These spookalicious Raspberry Mummy Pop-Tarts are the new Halloween snack on the block and a great way to get your child’s essential daily serving of Vitamin D3 during the fall. Just top off with edible spooky eyes to bring them to life! Now that’s a wrap!

Ingredients
  

For the dough:

  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 8 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter
  • 4-8 Tbsp cold water
  • 1 ½ Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt

For the filling:

  • ½ cup dry chia seeds
  • 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the egg wash:

  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 tsp sugar

For the toppings:

  • ChildLife Essentials Vitamin D3
  • edible spooky eyes

Instructions
 

  • Make dough or purchase pre-made pie crust from the grocery store.
  • Combine 2 cups almond milk, 1/2 cup chia seeds, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup raspberries and 1 Tbsp sugar to chia mixture and blend.
  • Prepare dough in rectangular shapes, brushing the edges with egg wash.
  • Add filling and lay strips of dough across, side to side like a mummy. Press sides.
  • Bake at 375° for 22-25 minutes.
  • Once cool, drizzle Childlife Essentials Vitamin D3 on top and add some edible spooky eyes to complete the look.
