Raspberry Mummy Pop-Tarts
These spookalicious Raspberry Mummy Pop-Tarts are the new Halloween snack on the block and a great way to get your child’s essential daily serving of Vitamin D3 during the fall. Just top off with edible spooky eyes to bring them to life! Now that’s a wrap!
For the dough:
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 8 Tbsp sugar
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter
- 4-8 Tbsp cold water
- 1 ½ Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
For the filling:
- ½ cup dry chia seeds
- 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the egg wash:
- 1 egg beaten
- 3 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tsp sugar
For the toppings:
- ChildLife Essentials Vitamin D3
- edible spooky eyes
Make dough or purchase pre-made pie crust from the grocery store.
Combine 2 cups almond milk, 1/2 cup chia seeds, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Mix and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
Add 1 cup raspberries and 1 Tbsp sugar to chia mixture and blend.
Prepare dough in rectangular shapes, brushing the edges with egg wash.
Add filling and lay strips of dough across, side to side like a mummy. Press sides.
Bake at 375° for 22-25 minutes.
Once cool, drizzle Childlife Essentials Vitamin D3 on top and add some edible spooky eyes to complete the look.
